IGF-1 LR3

20–40 mcg daily

Synthetic IGF-1 analog engineered for longer half-life and reduced binding to IGF-binding proteins, making it far more potent than natural IGF-1. Used in research on cell growth and differentiation, but widely misused in bodybuilding for muscle building.

Important: IGF-1 peptides are insulin-like and can drop your blood sugar. Eat a meal with protein and carbs shortly after injecting, watch for low blood sugar signs, and do not inject within 2 hours of bedtime (overnight hypoglycaemia risk).

As with IGF-1 DES, bac water is the common practical diluent for a vial used within its window. A low-pH diluent is sometimes preferred for longer storage.

  1. Use bacteriostatic water as the diluent.
  2. Add the water slowly, letting it run down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder.
  3. Swirl gently to mix, then leave it to dissolve. Do not shake.
  4. Give it a few minutes. The finished solution should be clear and colourless.

Protocol

Route: Subcutaneous or intramuscular

Standard protocol (subcutaneous or intramuscular)

  • Beginners: 0.02 mg to 0.04 mg (20 to 40 mcg) per day, once daily, ideally post-workout
  • Start at the low end and assess tolerance for the first 1 to 2 weeks
  • Do not exceed 0.05 mg/day (50 mcg) without real experience

Dosing detail

  • Beginner dose is 0.02 mg to 0.04 mg (20 to 40 mcg) once daily. Intermediate 0.05 to 0.08 mg (50 to 80 mcg).
  • Long-acting, so once daily is enough. Post-workout or morning is the usual timing.
  • Eat after dosing and avoid late-night injections to prevent overnight low blood sugar.
  • Cycle 4 to 6 weeks on, equal time off, to keep receptors responsive.

Duration

  • Run 4 to 6 weeks, then an equal time off: it is long-acting (20 to 30 hour half-life) and the receptors downregulate with continuous use.

Notes

  • A long-acting IGF-1 variant, systemic rather than purely local.
  • Watch for low blood sugar signs.
  • Inject subcutaneously and rotate sites.

Storage and handling

  • Keep the powdered (lyophilized) vial in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate it for longer-term storage before mixing.
  • Once reconstituted and refrigerated at 2–8 °C away from light, use the vial within 90 days.
  • Do not freeze a reconstituted vial, and keep it away from heat and sunlight.
  • If the solution turns cloudy, develops floating particles, or shows any other sign of degradation, stop using that vial.
