Epitalon

5–10 mg daily, 10–20 day course

Synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed by Vladimir Khavinson’s institute in the 1980s to mimic pineal peptide epithalamin. Studied in Russia for effects on melatonin release, circadian rhythm, and cellular aging via telomerase activity; not approved in Western markets, with no rigorous Western clinical trials.

  1. Use bacteriostatic water as the diluent.
  2. Add the water slowly, letting it run down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder.
  3. Swirl gently to mix, then leave it to dissolve. Do not shake.
  4. Give it a few minutes. The finished solution should be clear and colourless.

Protocol

Route: Subcutaneous

Standard protocol (subcutaneous)

  • 5 mg to 10 mg per day, once daily, run as a defined course
  • At a 2 mL fill on a 50 mg vial (25 mg/mL), 5 mg is a 0.2 mL draw (20 units) and 10 mg is 0.4 mL (40 units)

The classic course

  • Run daily for 10 to 20 consecutive days, then stop
  • This single course is typically repeated only 1 to 2 times per year, since the effects are described as lasting well beyond the course itself

Dosing detail

  • Common dose is 5 mg to 10 mg per day during the course.
  • A telomere- and longevity-focused bioregulator peptide.
  • Run as a 10 to 20 day course, then a long break. Not a continuous daily peptide.
  • Generally well tolerated.

Duration

  • A 10 to 20 day daily course, repeated only once or twice a year.

Notes

  • A telomere- and longevity-focused bioregulator peptide.
  • Generally well tolerated.
  • Inject subcutaneously and rotate sites.

Storage and handling

  • Keep the powdered (lyophilized) vial in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate it for longer-term storage before mixing.
  • Once reconstituted and refrigerated at 2–8 °C away from light, use the vial within 90 days.
  • Do not freeze a reconstituted vial, and keep it away from heat and sunlight.
  • If the solution turns cloudy, develops floating particles, or shows any other sign of degradation, stop using that vial.
