Mechanism
Activates both the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) in the pituitary, via calcium and protein kinase C signaling, and CD36 receptors in heart tissue, via MAPK/Akt pathways, supporting cardiomyocyte survival, mitochondrial function, and reduced oxidative stress/ischemia damage.
