Mechanism
Competitively blocks bradykinin B2 receptors, preventing bradykinin-driven vasodilation, plasma leakage, and calcium-mediated nitric oxide synthase activation that causes edema in HAE attacks; synthetic modifications improve receptor specificity and stability.
