Adipotide
FTPP, Fat Targeted Proapoptotic Peptide, Prohibitin-TP
Synthetic peptide (FTPP) built from a targeting domain and a pro-apoptotic domain, designed to destroy blood vessels feeding white fat. Shown in obese rhesus monkeys to cut body fat and improve insulin sensitivity; no approved use, human testing limited.
Research score 40/100. Reference only, not a dose.

Mechanism
The targeting segment binds prohibitin-1 on adipose-tissue endothelial cells; the attached pro-apoptotic segment collapses mitochondrial membrane potential in those cells, triggering apoptosis via MAPK-linked pathways and cutting local blood flow to fat.
Safety file
Renal toxicity risk is high; human trials stopped after proximal tubule damage and declining kidney function. Not considered safe for people.
