AOD9604 (hGH Fragment 176-191)
AOD-9604, AOD 9604, hGH Fragment 176-191, Tyr-hGH Fragment 177-191
Fragment of human growth hormone (amino acids 176–191) engineered in the 1990s to isolate hGH’s fat-burning action from its growth effects. Studied for fat loss and possibly joint/tissue repair; remains investigational with no approval.
Research score 60/100. Reference only, not a dose.

Mechanism
Mimics hGH’s lipid effects via β3-adrenergic receptor activation in fat tissue, raising cAMP/PKA signaling and hormone-sensitive lipase activity to break down triglycerides, without affecting glucose or IGF-1.
Safety file
Generally well tolerated; mild injection-site reactions, headache, nausea reported. Unlike hGH it doesn’t raise IGF-1 or cause insulin resistance, but WADA prohibits it.

- Temporary fatigue
