GHRP-2
Pralmorelin, KP-102, GPA-748, GHRP2
Synthetic hexapeptide from the 1990s that mimics ghrelin to stimulate growth hormone release, with possible effects on body composition, sleep, and cellular repair; works synergistically with GHRH analogs. Remains an unapproved research chemical.

Mechanism
Agonizes the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary, triggering calcium-driven growth hormone release via phospholipase C/IP3-DAG signaling, while also boosting hypothalamic GHRH and suppressing somatostatin; has mild effects on prolactin and ACTH too.
Safety file
Generally well tolerated; increased appetite, weight gain, elevated blood sugar, fluid retention, and joint pain can occur. Banned by WADA.
- Increased appetite
- Water retention
- Temporary numbness at injection site
- Elevated cortisol levels
- Potential insulin resistance
