Thymosin Alpha-1 (Zadaxin)

A synthetic 28-amino-acid peptide matching a natural thymic hormone, marketed as Zadaxin. It's an established immune modulator approved in many countries for hepatitis B and C, as a cancer-therapy adjuvant, and for immune-compromised patients. Since 2020, interest has grown in its use for COVID-19 and long COVID, boosting antitumor immunity in lung cancer, and for immune support in severe acute pancreatitis.

Mechanism
Binds Toll-like receptors TLR2 and TLR9 to drive T-cell maturation and Th1 cytokine output, raises MHC class I expression and dendritic-cell maturation, boosts NK-cell and antibody activity, and activates NF-κB and MyD88-dependent signaling to strengthen immune response against viruses and cancer while reducing inflammation.
