A synthetic pentadecapeptide taken from a protective protein in gastric juice. Animal work points to angiogenesis, collagen, and gut-mucosa repair. The literature scores 60/100, and controlled human trials are absent.

Mechanism
VEGF-linked vessel growth, growth-hormone receptor expression, collagen formation, and the FAK–paxillin migration pathway. It also talks to the nitric oxide system and down-shifts pro-inflammatory cytokines.
Safety file
No reported toxicity in animal models. Human long-term safety is unknown. Theoretical concern: VEGFR2 activation could support tumour growth.

Reconstitution
Add 2 mL bacteriostatic water down the glass wall. Swirl until the cake is gone. That yields 5 mg/mL, or 50 mcg per insulin unit.

Storage
- Lyophilized
- −20 °C freezer preferred; a refrigerator is also acceptable. Do not open a cold vial — wait 15–30 minutes so it does not sweat. Avoid freeze–thaw cycling.
- After water
- 2–8 °C, dark, up to 45 days when mixed with bacteriostatic water. Mixed vials stay in their box. Sterile water (no preservative) is single-use.

- Use bacteriostatic water as the diluent.
- Add the water slowly, letting it run down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder.
- Swirl gently to mix, then leave it to dissolve. Do not shake.
- Give it a few minutes. The finished solution should be clear and colourless.
Protocol
Route: Subcutaneous
Standard healing protocol (subcutaneous)
- 0.5 mg (500 mcg) per day, the most commonly reported effective dose
- Many split it into 0.25 mg morning and 0.25 mg evening
- For a specific injury, inject near the affected area; for gut or whole-body benefit, any subcutaneous site works
Dosing detail
- Standard daily range is 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg. Start at 0.25 mg for the first week or two, then move to 0.5 mg (often split into two shots) if tolerated.
- Consistency matters more than a big dose. Daily dosing beats occasional larger doses.
- Mild injuries: 2 to 4 weeks. Severe or post-op: 4 to 8 weeks. Do not run past 8 weeks without a break.
- Frequently stacked with TB-500 (the healing or Wolverine stack).
Duration
- Run 4 to 6 weeks for most injuries, up to 8 weeks for severe or post-surgical cases, then take a break before another cycle. Daily, often 5 days on and 2 off.
Notes
- Frequently stacked with TB-500 for soft tissue, tendon and ligament recovery.
- Daily dosing beats sporadic larger doses. Consistency is the main lever.
- Generally very well tolerated.
Storage and handling
- Keep the powdered (lyophilized) vial in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate it for longer-term storage before mixing.
- Once reconstituted and refrigerated at 2–8 °C away from light, use the vial within 90 days.
- Do not freeze a reconstituted vial, and keep it away from heat and sunlight.
- If the solution turns cloudy, develops floating particles, or shows any other sign of degradation, stop using that vial.
