Mechanism
Competes with SNAP-25 to destabilize the VAMP/SNAP-25/Syntaxin complex needed for neurotransmitter vesicle fusion, reducing acetylcholine release and calcium-dependent muscle contraction in facial muscles; also promotes fibroblast collagen production.
